Benny the Bull at St. Charles East McTeacher's Night for Cody Conlon
On Tuesday, Nov. 8, it was all about Cody Conlon at the St. Charles McDonald's, 1915 W. Main St.
Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the Conlon family, which lost their mom and brother in the last year.
Forty-two teachers worked very hard including Principal Charlie Kyle and Assistant Principal Lisa Dandre. The McTeacher jobs included: drive-thru teachers, greeters, teachers cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, and teachers serving ice cream. There were even teachers singing for tips. St. Charles East McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time.
Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the Conlon family. All the kids came to see their teachers perform and work at the St. Charles McDonald's. A special appearance by the talented band McTeachers helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. There was a also a very special appearance by Benny the Bull from the Chicago Bulls who heard from teachers at St. Charles East that Cody is a big Bulls fan. Special thank you goes to Assistant Principal, Lisa Dandre, who organized the entire event. It was a great night!
