Police: Lake Zurich man was passed out behind the wheel

A Lake Zurich man is facing several felony charges after police found him drunk and passed out in the driver's seat of his car Tuesday night in Lincolnshire - surrounded by drugs and drug paraphernalia, authorities said.

Kyle D. Bushschacher, 23, was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI, one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a narcotic instrument and driving with a revoked license.

The officers were alerted to Bushschacher's car by a passer-by who reported a possible DUI, officials said. When the officers approached the car in a parking lot on the 400 block of Milwaukee Avenue around 10:30 p.m., they saw Bushschacher was passed out in the driver's seat and a second person also passed out in the passenger's seat, police said. The second person was not identified.

After knocking loudly on the window several times without getting a response, an officer opened an unlocked car door and was finally able to wake the two people.

Bushschacher is being held in the Lake County jail on $25,000 bail. His next court date is Nov. 14
