When my wife and I were visiting Cantigny Park in Wheaton last fall, we noticed this "interestingly unique" looking Pumpkin tucked away between some flowers and greenery. Kudos to the folks at Cantigny, they really do a fantastic job decorating their grounds. It looked beautiful, I am sure it does this year as well. Randy Link of Winfield
This photo was taken at the Chicago Botanic Garden. I went there to try and get some photos of the humming birds. As it turned out there was only 1 bird among all the flowers there. I didn't know what to expect but found out quickly. You have to be fast to follow the bird as it stays in one place for only a few seconds, flying from one flower to the next one. I ended up getting a few good ones, and was very lucky to get this photo. I like this photo of the bird, and composition with the 4 flowers in the background. The bird is a female ruby throated hummingbird. Emil Schiavo of Itasca

This photo was taken September 16, 2016 at the East Branch Forest Preserve in the off-leash dog area. The eagle was perched in a tree when it suddenly took flight, swooping right in front of where my wife and I (and our dog) were standing. I was lucky enough to get this shot with the eagle's wings fully extended. Craig Bonda of Winfield

This photo was taken 10/19/16 in Sister Bay, Door County Wisconsin at around 7 a.m., as the sun was rising over lake Michigan. The warm glow of the sun rise was a nice opportunity to catch the contrast between the changing seasonal landscape and cool water. The fall colors were in their full glory! Tom Baldoni of West Dundee
I took this photo in Starved Rock National Park of the stunning autumn colors. Kyle kosatka of Batavia
