Veterinary Assistant Certificate Course

If you love working with animals, take the first step towards a new career in the veterinary field with Community Education District 128 in partnership with MK Education's Veterinary Assistant Certificate Course. This program can be completed in as little as six months and is one of only a few programs in the U.S. with preliminary approval from National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA).

Veterinary assistants are entry-level healthcare professionals that work in many different veterinary settings. They work with Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians to provide medical care for sick or injured animals. Veterinary assistants handle sterilizing lab and surgical equipment. Under the supervision of a Veterinarian, Veterinary Assistants may be asked to administer medications and provide pre/post op care.

Our Veterinary Assistant Program is designed to help you advance your current health care career or to find entry-level employment in this field. This program makes it possible for you to build on your existing career rather than start a new one from scratch-and we help you do it around the busy work schedule and family obligations you already have. You can feel confident that this flexibility also comes with high standards in training and education. Get started in an undergraduate certificate program and earn credential employers recognize.

Join us for our FREE Information Session scheduled for December 8, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. Meet your instructors, discuss Workforce Innovative and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding opportunities with a representative, chat with graduates of our program, handle the materials and resources used in class, and interview with our preceptors for your externship placement ALL IN ONE PLACE!
