New 2016 Waukegan Queens Crowned

Contestants were judged on public speaking and communications skills by completing a 5 minute interview, reciting a prepared speech and answering a pop question. Other criteria included modeling, projecting confidence and personality. Maritza Escamilla earned the title of Little Miss Waukegan 2016, Jocelyn Soto as Junior Miss 2016 and her older sister, Jailene Soto, crowned Miss Waukegan 2016. Throughout the next year, the new Waukegan queens will have a busy schedule making public appearances and doing community service work. The newly crowned queens will also go on to compete at the 13th annual Lake County Community Pageant in November at CLC.
