Watch for tree trimming along Elgin branch of Illinois Prairie Path

Users of the Illinois Prairie Path in Wayne may experience delays Sept. 26-30, due to a tree-trimming project.

Asplundh, a contractor for ComEd, will be trimming trees away from power lines along the Elgin branch of the Illinois Prairie Path along Dunham Road, just south of Lamplight Trail.

Signs on the trail will alert users to the project. There also will be contractor staff on hand to guide patrons around the equipment.

Trail users are asked to use caution in the area and be aware of possible intermittent delays.

The work should last approximately one day.
