Jewish and Christian houses of worship share musical exchange

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and Beth Tikvah Congregation will engage in a week of Interfaith Sharing in Song beginning June 19th and concluding June 24th.

These two congregations of faith will share their unique musical traditions by having the choirs from each congregation perform music of their faith heritage at the others worship services. Kol Tikvah, choir from Beth Tikvah, will sing at the first two morning worship services, 8:30 & 9:45 am, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 930 W. Higgins Rd. in Schaumburg, on Sunday June 19th. They will perform both alone and with the Prince of Peace Adult Choir.

Then the following Friday June 24th, Prince of Peace Lutheran Adult Choir will sing at the Shabbat service at Beth Tikvah Congregation, 300 Hillcrest Blvd Hoffman Estates, alone and with Kol Tikvah, starting at 8:00 pm.

The public is welcome to join in these services.

Kol Tikvah is directed by Cantorial Soloist Ilana Axel and Prince of Peace Adult Choir is conducted by Scott Uddenberg. Additional information on these congregations can be found on their websites: www.beth-tihvah.org and www.princeofpeace.net
