Fox Lake school bus in fender-bender
A fender-bender between a Fox Lake school bus and an SUV in Spring Grove Monday afternoon delayed students from returning home, fire officials said.
Nobody was injured in the minor crash that happened at 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Sixth Street and Rowe Avenue, Fox Lake Capt. Brent Connelly said. An SUV backing out of a private driveway made contact with the front driver's-side bumper of the bus carrying middle school students, he said.
School officials were on the scene and transferred students to another school bus that took them home about 15 minutes late, he said.
