Apply now for Algonquin Garden Club scholarships

Scholarship applications are being accepted by the Algonquin Garden Club. Scholarships are awarded to individuals pursuing a career in the fields of horticulture, conservation, agriculture, landscape architecture, forestry, environmental studies or the teaching of these subjects.

To be considered, applicants should be a resident of Algonquin/Lake in the Hills (exceptions will be considered) and be accepted into or currently enrolled in a college or university. Applications must include two letters of recommendation and a transcript of grades. Completed applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, March 15.

Past scholarships have ranged from $500 to $2,000.

Applications are available through the guidance departments at Jacobs, Dundee-Crown, Hampshire, and Marian Central high schools, as well as McHenry County College.
