Giving thanks in a different way - by giving back

El Diamante Hand Car Wash, owned and operated by Alejandra Suarez, has been open for 7 years, and has been part of the St. Charles community providing hand car wash and detailing services with outstanding quality. The entire family works six days a week, cleaning and detailing cars, always with a smile on their face. Their work ethic is enviable. However, their premises needed a little bit of TLC, and the community got together to do just that.

Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks. We thank God for everything we have - our life, our health, family, friends; however, this time, the Gonzalez-Mendez family (J.C., Deborah, Denise, Melissa and Carlos) from St. Charles came up with the idea to help Alejandra.

"What if we come in and help her clean, paint, get a few pieces of furniture, and get the place with a better look? Something that they can be proud of?"

Deborah set out to contact the Ricossa and Hernandez families from South Elgin, the Montano family from Algonquin, the Favela family from Elmhurst, Mike and Daniella Saracco, and Abraham Muñoz from St. Charles, Luis and Katy Correa from Naperville, Dexter Price and many, many others who worked tirelessly shoulder to shoulder with Alejandra, her husband, Arturo, children, sisters, and anyone else who showed up this past Thanksgiving weekend ... to give thanks for everything we have, by giving back to our own community.

Please come visit El Diamante Hand Car Wash, 606 S. First St. in St. Charles.
