Glenbard South to mark end of an era with Madrigal Dinner

After almost 40 years of Madrigal Dinners, this year marks the final Glenbard South High School Madrigal Dinner. Next year they will launch a new tradition to reinvent the concept of traditional caroling. This elite group of Renaissance singers still will perform popular Christmas carols and bring the joy of the season to the community through a number of performances.

Come for the final Madrigal Dinner event at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17. Experience the authentic 15th century costumes and Renaissance holiday music. Dine with the kings, queens, dukes and duchesses, court jesters, knights and magicians. The Madrigal Dinner will be hosted at Abbington Banquets in Glen Ellyn. The dinner includes soup, chicken dessert and beverage, along with wonderful entertainment, including the elite carolers, string orchestra, herald trumpets, brass choir and mischievous court jesters who entertain the crowd and involve them in their follies.
