Jaycees Raise Funds with Pizza Competition

The Hoffman Estates Jaycees will be holding a contest to determine who makes the best pizza in the Schaumburg Township area. The contest will take place on Thursday, November 5th from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the Schaumburg Township Hall, located at One Illinois Boulevard in Hoffman Estates.

"The Schaumburg Township has some of the best pizza places in the area," said Keith Colgrove, Hoffman Estates Jaycees President. "For a $7.00 donation, area residents and guests will be able to sample a variety of pizzas, vote for their favorites and help the community. Kids under 4 are free."

Several local pizza restaurants will submit entries in three categories: Thin Crust, Pan and Specialty. Attendees will rate each pizza and their votes will be tallied to determine the winner and runner-up in each category.

The Hoffman Estates Chapter of the Jaycees is one of over 1,000 local chapters throughout the United States. The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 40 the opportunity to network and develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community. The Hoffman Estates chapter is always looking for new members interested in professional and personal growth and community involvement. The Hoffman Estates Jaycees meets at 7 p.m., on the third Wednesday of each month, at the Hoffman Estates Village Hall Training Room, 1900 Hassell Road.
