Congregation Beth Shalom Naperville to Hold Sacred Drumming Circles

Congregation Beth Shalom in Naperville will hold sacred drumming circles monthly, beginning on October 16th. The program, which is recommended for individuals ages 10 and over, is free and open to the public. No experience is necessary.

"The sacred drum has the extraordinary power to touch something deep and powerful within us. The vibrations awaken our spirits and speak to our truest selves," said Cantor Hasha Musha Perman who is coordinating the program. "Drumming creates an island in time, a rhythm from the heart and connection with community. The drum speaks to inner peace and self-expression. This sacred drumming circle celebrates Shabbat (the Sabbath) with rhythm and chant, a joyous connection."

The sacred drumming circles will be held on October 16th, November 20 and December 18 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Congregation Beth Shalom, 772 W. 5th Avenue, Naperville. For additional information or to RSVP contact HashaMusha@gmail.com or call 847-507-9118..

"Our sacred drumming circle celebrates the creation of the world, experiencing the psalms with rhythms, drumming and chants." Said Cantor Perman. "We welcome the greater community to join us for this joyous celebration."
