Schaumburg man gets four years for selling meth

A 23-year-old Schaumburg man was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to delivery of a controlled substance.

Ruben Rodriguez pleaded guilty this week to charges stemming from drug sales earlier this year. Prosecutors said he sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer from the Illinois State Police North Central Narcotics Task Force multiple times between January and March.

Ruben served two days in jail in 2013 for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. He also has a misdemeanor battery conviction from 2012, prosecutors said.
