Beer, brats and the Bard: 5 things to do this weekend

Comic quest

Journey off to "Spamalot," the Eric Idle and John DuPrez musical based on the 1975 film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." It's at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, 111 W. Campbell St., Arlington Heights, and centers on the efforts of King Arthur and his knights to complete their quest despite ill-mannered Frenchmen and killer rabbits. Tickets $30-$38. Brats and beer

Celebrate German heritage and culture with the Platzkonzert German Fest and 5K, which features plenty of music, food, beer and competitions on Saturday at the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway, Hoffman Estates. Speedy Shakespeare

Three actors perform all of William Shakespeare's works in 90 minutes on a short hike through the Morton Arboretum, 4100 Route 53, Lisle. Oom pah
