Discover archery in McHenry
Discover Archery with Friends of Moraine Hills State Park, 1510 S. River Road, McHenry, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13. Fee is $18. Certified instructor Andy Ferraro and volunteers with Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Friends of Moraine Hills will share safety instruction, techniques and tips. To register for a 50-minute time slot (limit 5 people per slot) call (815) 344-1294 or email dnr.volobog@illinois.gov. When registering, give first, second and third choice of time slot, name of each person, and ages of kids (minimum age 10 and minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian). Slots are available at 10 and 11 a.m., and 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
