Cary Physical Therapy continues to host physical therapy interns

Physical Therapy student Elizabeth Ryan is a second year intern at Rosalind Franklin Medical School in North Chicago and plans to complete her doctorate in 2017. Beth has just completed a 6 week internship at Cary Physical Therapy. This "hands-on" training affiliation is a unique learning opportunity that provides each intern with mentoring and instruction in the practical application of physical therapy skills and training.

Programs in physical therapy are 7 years leading to a graduate degree with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Cary Physical Therapy currently partners with four universities in Illinois to allow PT students to gain experience in private practice physical therapy.

"Our commitment to the profession as well as our community has inspired us to continue to grow and develop our clinical education program" says Deb Gulbrandson, owner of Cary Physical Therapy. "Our students rate their experience with us as exceptionally high. It's more than just getting a grade or earning credit. These students learn from everyone around them while they are here with us and they receive valuable feedback unlike anything they can learn in the classroom alone".
