The Blackhawks forced a Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals with a 5-2 victory Wednesday night at the United Center. Patrick Kane, Brandon Saad and Brad Richards scored over a 3-minute, 45-second span of the second period in front of a charged-up 22,089 fans. House moves package to curb heroin abuse

The fight against heroin abuse in the suburbs took a major legislative step forward Wednesday, as the House unanimously approved a package of legislation based largely on experiences from DuPage County. The plan, drawn up by state Rep. Lou Lang, moved out of the Illinois House with a vote of 114-0. Lang's plan focuses on reducing heroin abuse through drug courts and Narcan. Full story.

Illinois Democrats agreed to give some of Gov. Bruce Rauner's priority reforms a platform Wednesday but still voted them down in an exercise that could further fuel a politically charged standoff extending into the summer. Aurora woman gets 26 years

An Aurora woman was sentenced Wednesday to 26 years in prison for her role in two armed robberies in 2014. Fatima M. Robertson, 24, of the 1100 block of Liberty Street, pleaded guilty to armed robbery and attempted armed robbery in a plea accepted by Kane County Judge Alice Tracy. Full story.

Massage worker charged with prostitution in Geneva

A worker at a Geneva massage business has been charged with prostitution. Geneva police said they arrested Foot and Body Massage worker Lifa Jiang, 39, of Aurora, at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Full story.

NFL lineman Ray McDonald arrested again

Just two days after he was arrested on charges of misdemeanor domestic abuse and child endangerment, which got him released by the Bears, defensive end Ray McDonald was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of violating the restraining order from his Monday arrest.
