St. Francis tops West Chicago

St. Francis 4, West Chicago 2:

Tim Lily drove in 2 runs, Mike Beach had 2 hits and Jason Sullivan struck out six in a complete-game effort for the Spartans (5-2). Matt Dall went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI for West Chicago (2-2).

Naperville Central 3, Joliet Catholic 1:

Trailing 1-0, the Redhawks (4-3) tied it in the bottom of the fifth and scored the go-ahead runs in the sixth. Conor Joyce allowed only 2 hits and pitched into the fifth inning. Zac Bianucci closed it out for the save.

Waubonsie Valley 7, Naperville North 3:

Ryan Jones, Brandon Petersen and Paul Vickers each drove in 2 runs for the Warriors (4-1) in their third straight win. Jacob Hennessy earned the win and Jones notched the final out for the save. Steve Dudas and Christian Robert had 2 hits for Naperville North (2-4).

Benet 5, WW South 2:

Connor Hickey went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI for the Redwings (5-3) in their nonconference win. Winning pitcher Brendan McDonnell and Jon Kruppe combined on the mound. Jack Demsher went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for WW South (1-5).

Glenbard North 8, Batavia 1:

Winning pitcher Luke Greenberg, who went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI, struck out five and allowed no earned runs over 6 innings as the Panthers (5-2) rolled to victory. Neah Shah also had 3 hits while Eric Orze and Alex Taylor each had 2 hits.

Willowbrook 16, Proviso East 1:

The Warriors (7-2, 3-0) capped a three-game West Suburban Gold conference sweep. Joe Kelso doubled twice and drove in 4 runs. Matt Pizur allowed 1 hit over 5 innings while striking out nine.

Downers South 10, Addison Trail 0:

The Mustangs (3-2, 1-0) started strong in West Suburban Gold play with a six-inning victory over Addison Trail (1-4, 0-1). Danny Oriente went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles while Tom Steinhaus drove in 2 runs. Winning pitcher Zach Jones scattered 4 hits.
