'Stuart Little' at Vero Voce Theater in St. Charles

Vero Voce Theater in St. Charles will present "Stuart Little" as its next Young Performers Series production, with direction by Dennis Brown. Performances are, Feb. 14-22; 1 and 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays, at Vero Voce Theater, 951 State Ave., Suite F, St. Charles.

Based on the book by E.B. White, adapted by Joseph Robinette and performed with special permission from The Dramatic Publishing Company, this is the endearing classic fantasy about a mouse named Stuart Little who is born into an ordinary New York family. All the charm, wisdom and joy of the E.B. White original are captured in this adaptation by Joseph Robinette, who also dramatized the highly acclaimed stage version of "Charlotte's Web." The many adventures - both big and small - of Stuart Little are brought vividly to life in this story theater presentation.

"'Stuart Little' is a timeless tale that lives on with the audience long after they have left the theater," Brown said. "This play gives the actors the opportunity of playing multiple roles in a continuous, fast-paced production. The young actors are learning much about character work and how to change characters quickly as well as learning from the adult, veteran actors in the show."

The cast includes Evelyn Hannah, David Brown, Steve Delaney, Dawn Harkins, Ben Hommowun, all of St. Charles, Jake Murphy of Campton Hills, Kaia Ebel of Geneva and Ella Hansen of Huntley.
