Rollins Road traffic reduced

Traffic on Rollins Road near Route 83 in Round Lake Beach will be reduced to one lane in each direction with flaggers present beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15.

Starting at midnight all traffic on Rollins Road between Route 83 and the shopping center to the east of the intersection will be closed to through traffic. Traffic on Rollins Road west of Route 83 and traffic on Route 83 will remain open.

The road closure is required to remove the temporary bridge that was carrying traffic on Route 83 over Rollins Road. The road should reopen by 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16.

This work is weather permitting as high winds, extreme cold or significant precipitation could impact the cranes, resulting in the bridge removal being rescheduled to the next suitable evening. Visit www.rollinsroadgateway.com/.
