Vote for favorite tree; help Lazarus House

Lazarus House is fortunate to have many people throughout the Tri-Cities who generously give of their time, talents, emotional and financial support. These supports are greatly appreciated. The Lazarus House Giving Tree was created by Geneva East Book Club and Geneva High School SADD Club as a thank you to all the special people who help Lazarus House throughout the year.

Visit the Geneva History Museum at 113 S. Third St. in Geneva to vote for the Lazarus House tree with your dollars. Voting started Nov. 25 and will continue through Dec. 23. The Geneva museum sells tickets for $1 so individuals can vote for their favorite nonprofit tree. There is no limit to the number of times an individual can vote. You can also vote online at www.genevahistorymuseum.org.

For the last seven years the museum has offered local charities the opportunity to spread the word about their organization by decorating a Christmas tree. The winning organization keeps 100 percent of the funds pledged to support their tree. The remaining organizations split the winnings with the museum.

Lazarus House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit emergency shelter and center for transitional living serving men, women and children in the Tri Cities and western rural Kane County. For more information about Lazarus House, go to www.lazarushouseonline.com.
