Believe Project: $100 for nurse to buy coats, hats for kids

Sunday's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Laura Ehrhardt of Bartlett. Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"I work as a registered nurse in the Elgin U-46 school district. My job allows me to float to various schools, where I see so many children in need of basic necessities. I hope the benefactor will choose me as one of his/her stewards, and I will be able to purchase a few coats and hats that will keep a few children warmer this winter."

• The Believe Project will award $100 each day in December to a different person with a good idea for how to use $100 to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
