Runner safety topic of Palatine forum Dec. 16

A pair of local running clubs will host a runner safety discussion from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Palatine Public Library, Room 1, 700 N. North Court, Palatine.

Several speakers will be sharing information on how to maximize runner safety. Speakers include Kellie Poliquin, the Palatine Police Department Crime Prevention Officer and a runner; Michael McCarthy, Krav Maga instructor at Flo Fitness; and Leo Tyska, founder of the Hoffman/Inverness/Palatine (HIP) Running Club.
