Hanover Township, Kid Care holding flu shot clinics

Hanover Township and Kid Care Medical will host clinics where kids can get flu shots and immunizations in the township's Senior Center in Bartlett.

Clinics will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11; Jan. 8 and Feb. 12. Walk-ins are welcome until 6 p.m. The center is at 240 S. Route 59.

"The best way to protect yourself and others around you from getting and spreading the flu is to get the influenza vaccine," township Trustee Steve Caramelli said in a news release. "Since the flu strains change constantly, it is important to get vaccinated every year."

Services are free for residents with an All Kids medical cards. Otherwise, fees for residents are $25 for physicals, $5 per child immunization, and $25 per adult flu vaccine. Medicare and Medicaid also are accepted.
