Fr. Brennan was first welcoming pastor

I would like to make a correction to Burt Constable's article "Jesus hidden for High Holy Days ..." and also to the letter in response from Larry Powitz. Both the article and letter give Fr. Terry Keehan all of the credit for the idea of Holy Family sharing their space with the local synagogue.

In fact, it was due to the generosity of the late Fr. Pat Brennan that this annual event started taking place. Fr. Brennan was the longtime pastor of Holy Family prior to Fr. Keehan. He believed in welcoming everyone into the church and began the practice of allowing the Jewish congregation to use Holy Family for their High Holy Days.

I am happy that Fr. Keehan has chosen to continue this generosity but believe the credit should be given to Fr. Brennan, the true visionary, for this kind tradition.
