Archdiocese to release more priest sex abuse files today

The archdiocese of Chicago is releasing documents at 9 this morning that detail instances of child sex abuse by 36 priests going back decades. The documents are expected to reveal information tied to at least a dozen priests who were assigned to parishes throughout the suburbs of Cook and Lake counties. In some cases, the instances of abuse took place at those parishes; in others, priests were assigned to parishes years after the abuse occurred. Full story.

Men shot at in Mount Prospect

Two Arlington Heights men were shot at last night in Mount Prospect. About 8:20 p.m., police responded to the area of Algonquin Road and Dempster Street after a report of shots fired, Mount Prospect police said. Full story.

Six men charged with drug crimes in Aurora

Six men were recently arrested in Aurora on drug charges, officials said. Two of them - John A. Terry III, 43, and Alejandro Sustenas, 54, both of the first block of West Street - sold heroin to an undercover police detective on Oct. 29 around New York Street and East Park Place, authorities said. Quinn concedes governor's race to Rauner

Rose returns, Bulls beat Bucks 95-86

Derrick Rose returned from his latest injury and helped the Chicago Bulls continue to make themselves at home in Milwaukee with a 95-86 win over the Bucks last night. Taj Gibson scored 23 points, Pau Gasol added 22 and Rose had 13 points and seven assists in 32 minutes for the Bulls, who have beaten the Bucks nine straight times in Milwaukee. Full story.
