Two men hurt in Aurora shooting

A Monday night shooting in Aurora left two men with serious but not life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

A 21-year-old Montgomery man and a 20-year-old Oswego man were standing outside a tattoo shop on the 400 block of South Lake Street when they were shot, according to an email from Aurora Media Relations Manager Dan Ferrelli.

The 21-year-old was shot in the groin while the 20-year-old was shot in the shoulder and lower back. Both victims were taken to an Aurora hospital for treatment.

Two parked vehicles were also struck by gunfire.

Gang motivation has not been ruled out, Ferrelli wrote.
