Nine polling places changing in Northwest Cook County

Voters in nine Northwest suburban precincts will have a new polling place for the Nov. 4 election, Cook County Clerk David Orr announced Thursday. Households in the affected precincts will get postcards informing them of the change. In Des Plaines: Maine Twp. precinct 19 is moving from the Frisbie Senior Center to Chippewa Middle School, 123 8th Ave.; and Maine Twp. precinct 35 is moving from the Frisbie Senior Center to Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 E. Thacker St. In Palatine: Palatine Twp. precinct 8 is moving from Palatine Village Hall to the Palatine Park District, 250 E. Wood St.; and Palatine Twp. precinct 33 is moving from Midtown Athletic Club to Falcon Park Recreation Center, 2195 N. Hicks Road. In Arlington Heights: Wheeling Twp. precincts 7 and 14 are moving from the Arlington Heights Village Hall to Pioneer Park, 500 S. Fernandez; Wheeling Twp. precincts 19 and 53 are moving from South Middle School to Pioneer Park, 500 S. Fernandez; and Wheeling Twp. precinct 23 is moving from Dryden School to Southminster Presbyterian Church, 916 E. Central Road.
