Preschool Move-A-Thon in Support of JCYS Scholarship Fund

As part of the Early Childhood Education curriculum at Jewish Council for Youth Services, the JCYS Northwest Family Center is teaching their infants, toddlers and preschoolers about tzedakah and the Jewish values of sharing, giving and caring for others. To demonstrate this concept in action, children will be participating in a Move-A-Thon on Wednesday, October 22!

For 30 minutes, children will be moving for fun(ds!) to be contributed to the JCYS Scholarship Fund - helping all families access affordable preschool programs. Through early childhood education and enriching child care programs, JCYS Northwest Family Center has become a "home away from home" for over 200 children and their families since 2000.

Children will be dancing, hula-hooping, jump-roping, playing games in the gym, and going through a fun obstacle course around the playground that allows them to roll down hills, climb through playground equipment and run in the outdoor field. Even the infants are getting involved by getting bounced and rocked during the Move-a-Thon!

To donate to this generously cute cause, contact JCYS Northwest Family Center Director Naomi Samuels at nsamuels@jcys.org, (847) 279-0900, or visit www.jcys.org/BuffaloGrove to learn more about the programs and services the Center provides.
