Elk Grove Film Club Announces Free Film Series

The Elk Grove Film Club will begin hosting monthly film screenings for students and the entire community. In honor of the late Robin Williams, the film club will be screening the 1995 film "Jumanji" on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7:00 p.m.

The Elk Grove Film Club, sponsored by social science teacher and filmmaker Bruce Janu, has a whole list of activities planned for the year, such as community film screenings, film production and editing workshops and a large student film festival in the spring.

The screening will take place at the Elk Grove High School Theater, 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd. in Elk Grove Village. The screening is free, but donations are welcome. Registration is not required. Please contact Janu at 847-718-4767 or e-mail bruce.janu@d214.org for more information.
