Driver accused of robbing Taco Bell in Glendale Hts.

A man who police say ordered food at a Glendale Heights Taco Bell drive-through and then robbed a worker at gunpoint was arrested early Wednesday and charged with armed robbery.

About 10:30 p.m. Monday, Glendale Heights police say, Anthony I. Morgan was driving a silver BMW when he ordered food at Taco Bell, 145 E. North Ave., When he approached the pickup window, he pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the register before fleeing west on North Avenue, police said.

Early Wednesday morning, a Carol Stream police officer spotted the suspected vehicle from an alert put out by the Glendale Heights police.

Morgan charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of robbery and taken to the DuPage County jail.
