Time for America to care for its own
I agree with all the points Inez Tornblom stated in her letter, "Can we just say "Stop" to Isreal?" The land of Palestine was the home to many peoples. When the UN created Isreal there was also to have been another state called Palestine.
This never happened. The Arab states attacked Isreal. Isreal won and occupied parts of Palestine.
These occupied lands were never returned. Instead Isreal built settlements on them and for over 60 years no solution has been found.
The Americans have given Isreal thousands of dollars for defense. But our Congress cannot vote on a minimum-wage increase, a jobs bill, an immigration bill, unemployment insurance.
It is about time America placed emphasis on caring for its own.
