Congregation Beth Judea Offers Adult B'Nei Mitzvah Program in the Fall

Congregation Beth Judea (Ill. Rt. 83 at Hilltop Rd., Long Grove, Illinois) is offering those Jewish Adults who did not have an opportunity to celebrate a bar or bat mitzvah at the age of 13 the opportunity to join in a special program that will teach you what you will need to become an Adult B'nei Mitzvah in 2016.

This class will meet once a week in the evening from October through May beginning this Fall 2014. The course of study typically takes about two years to complete. Course work includes one year of "exploring Judaism" two full years of Hebrew study, in-depth Judaic study with clergy, and learning Torah chanting and prayers with the Hazzan. At the conclusion of your studies students will lead a Shabbat service to celebrate your B'Nei Mitzvah. Cost of this program is $90.

Questions about this program can be directed to Anna Besser, Education Director of Congregation Beth Judea and can be reached at abesser@bethjudea.org or 847-634-0777.
