Wine Down Wednesdays continue in East Dundee
The Village of East Dundee will be hosting its second Wine Down Wednesdays on Wednesday, June 30, with a French twist.
As part of its offerings, the Anvil Club is sponsoring six French wines to taste. Samples of the Dominique Cornin Beaujolais Blanc, Bergerie de l'Hortus Blanc, Emile Beyer Pinot Gris, Marionnet Touraine Gamay, Clos Chanteduc Côtes du Rhone, and Château Lescalle Bordeaux Supérieur will be available.
Don't worry if your French isn't up to the task; there will be assistance given by the professional wine-tasting staff available for the evening.
Those attending the event will be entertained by a live jazz trio playing selections of French music, surrounded by unique three-dimensional artists as they walk the grounds of The Depot while sampling a variety of wines.

A $5 tasting fee per three wines sampled will be charged. Attendees will have the opportunity to select the wines they wish to sample. All wines tasted will be available for purchase by the glass or bottle at the event.
Popular at the first Wine Down Wednesday were the unique "Wine Down Wednesday" wineglasses. Each glass was individually hand-painted for the event by Artisticology.
"The first Wine Down Wednesday was a success despite an isolated rain shower for the first 30 minutes," stated Bob Skurla, village administrator, in a news release.
"After we dried off, those attending the event loved the American classic wines, the jazz trio and the atmosphere. Everyone, including the community volunteers and village employees working the event, had a great time and are looking forward to this next one."
Wine Down Wednesdays is sponsored by The Anvil Club, Payroll Vault and Artisticology and will feature three dimensional artists demonstrating their artistic abilities throughout the evening.
Wine Down Wednesdays will be from 5 p.m. to dusk at The Depot, 319 North River St., East Dundee. Wine Down Wednesdays will also be held Aug. 27 and Sept. 24.
