Elgin man to head Carol Stream Park District

Jim Reuter of Elgin has been named Carol Stream Park District's new executive director.

He currently serves as director for the Village of South Elgin Parks & Recreation Department. He also is a member of the National Recreation and Park Association, the Illinois Park and Recreation Association and the Illinois Association of Park Districts.

Reuter will begin his new position in Carol Stream on Monday, July 21, and has a three-year contract that will pay him $130,000 a year.

Reuter was selected for the position out of more than 30 applicants from across the country.
