Local officials will meet the public in a unique "speed dating" format at 7 p.m. June 26 at the Prairie Lakes Community Center in Des Plaines. Set up by state Rep. Marty Moylan, officials will each be assigned a table with seven chairs around it. The seats will be filled with residents; and every seven minutes a bell will signal it's time to change tables. Expected to attend are Des Plaines Mayor Matt Bogusz, Maine Township Supervisor Carol Teschky, Maine Township Trustee Laura Morask, Park Ridge Police Chief Frank Kaminski, Des Plaines Elementary District 62 Superintendent Jane Westerhold and North Suburban Cook County Regional Superintendent Bruce Brown. For details, (847) 635-6821.
