JOURNEYS | The Road Home

JOURNEYS | The Road Home kicked off the spring season with the 2nd Annual "Garden of Giving" Women's Luncheon at the Inverness Golf Club chaired by Sharon Griffin. On April 30, over 130 women gathered to enjoy lunch and raise funds for JOURNEYS | The Road Home who provide services to the homeless and those on the risk of becoming homeless.

"We had a wonderful afternoon with great women who really care about the well being of their fellow community members who are going through hard times", said Corey Keller, JOURNEYS' Event Coordinator. "As our clientele increases each year we need more support from the community to raise funds to keep our programs going."

This past year, JOURNEYS | The Road Home served over 1,100 clients. Some of these clients utilized the 18 PADS emergency shelters but all of them received services from JOURNEYS' Hope Center. By providing food, clothing and vocational and mental health counseling, the HOPE Center prevents 10-11 individuals and families from losing their home and moves, on average, 2 households per week into permanent housing.
