Campton Hills invites public to open house

The Village of Campton Hills has announced that the public is invited to attend a village hall open house from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12.

Previously located at 40W115 Campton Crossing, the office is expanded into a 7,600 square foot building at 40W270 La Fox Road, Suite B, which suits the village's current needs and will allow for future expansion if necessary. Sharing the space with the police department, the village hall has 11 offices and two conference rooms. The police department has 6 offices, including an interview room, a booking room, and a cell to temporarily hold arrestees, in addition to a spacious squad room for officers.

Feel free to bring the family on April 12. The experience will include live music, light refreshments, tours of the village hall and police station, and displays of historical pictures of Campton Hills.

Since the village's incorporation, it has relied heavily on its dedicated and civic-minded residents to volunteer for the village's various committees. Representatives from these committees also will be present to speak with residents about how their committee serves our community in its own way.

These volunteers along with Village President Patsy Smith, members of the village board, and the new village administrator Jennifer Johnsen look forward to meeting you.
