Lisle Area Chamber's Scholarship Deadline is April 11

The deadline for local high school seniors to turn in their completed 2014 Scholarship Application to the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce is 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014. As part of an ongoing commitment to education, the Lisle Area Chamber will award several $500 scholarships to local high school seniors in May. The awards are based on several considerations that include academic achievement, community involvement, and need.

Tom Althoff, CEO/President of the Lisle Area Chamber, said he is confident that there will be 10 or more scholarships given out this year. The scholarships are funded by corporate donations, member contributions and the Chamber's participation in Lisle's Eyes to the Skies Festival.

Applicants must have an immediate family member who belongs to the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce (individually or through corporate affiliation) or a Lisle mailing address. Applicants must plan to attend a technical or trade school, business college, or a two or four year college or university.

Students wishing to apply should contact their school guidance counselor or contact the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce office, 1111 Burlington Avenue, Suite 102, Lisle, IL 60532 or call 630-964-0052, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applications can be downloaded from the Chamber's website at www.lislechamber.com.
