Aurasphere brings its successful dating service to Chicago

Chicago, Ill. – Aurasphere is excited to announce an event at The Boiler Room on January 30th in Chicago, Illinois. Started in California in 2012, Aurasphere is an online dating platform connecting users at curated events with its patented pod technology. Trisha Sherman, the company's founder, explains how it works:

“Aurasphere matches people by asking questions that seem unrelated to relationships. However, the responses are analyzed simultaneously – using multiple programming methods – which then allows us to pair individuals on a more personal level, which increases initial compatibility.”

Those who fill out their information and RSVP to an event will meet their match within Aurasphere's “pod.” This pod is a carefully designed environment which increases immediate compatibility on a first date.

“Going on a first date can be unnerving and challenging,” explains Sherman. “Sometimes, expectations become inflated, which leads to initial disappointment. Or people have little interest in each other to begin with. What we have done here at Aurasphere is use what our generation finds most interesting, the Internet, to meet and interact with potential matches in real life.”

The pod allows people meet their match over a web-based video interface, where they can converse over the security of the Internet while within physical proximity of one other. If their initial meeting proves successful, they can continue to enjoy the event with each other outside of the pod.

“The pod is a sophisticated piece of technology,” says Aurasphere's chief IT engineer Damir Dugonjic. “It's still a prototype. We are learning more and more about the potentials of human interaction and technology in the 21st century as we utilize this product.”
