District 50 parent meeting:

Woodland Elementary District 50 hosts its second Bilingual Parent Advisory Council meeting of the year at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the Woodland Elementary East School cafeteria, 17261 W. Gages Lake Road, Gages Lake. Parents of English as a Second Language, or ESL, students and bilingual students are invited to attend. The topics will include the district’s behavior framework initiative Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and the benefits of learning in two languages. Childcare will be provided. Information will be discussed in Spanish and English, but parents of all language backgrounds are invited to attend. Future meetings will be Feb. 12 and April 2 at the Woodland Elementary East School cafeteria. For information, contact Valerie Morey, (847) 984-8840.
