Prospect Heights school will honor veterans

Prospect Heights Elementary District 23 will honor U.S. military veterans again this year on Veterans Day. All veterans living or working in the district and their families are invited to breakfast and a program on Monday, Nov. 11, at MacArthur Middle School, 700 N. Schoenbeck Road, just south of Palatine Road.

Students will serve breakfast to the guests at 8:30 a.m., followed by an all-school program featuring student speeches about Veterans Day and the U.S. flag, and performances by the school band, orchestra and choir.

Steve Lee, principal of MacArthur Middle School, asks all veterans who plan to attend to respond to (847) 870-3879 by Thursday, Nov. 7, with their names and the number in their parties.

District 23 serves parts of Prospect Heights, Arlington Heights, Wheeling and Mount Prospect.
