An electronics recycling and free paper shredding event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Fremont Township complex, 22376 Erhart Road. The township's CERT team will be working with the Countryside Fire Protection District to dispose of fire extinguishers, which can be brought to the event. Eyeglasses and cellphones also will be accepted on behalf of the Lions Club.
