Stand-Up for Our Heroes party

In recognition of their service to our Country, the United Relief Foundation is inviting veterans to a Stand-Up for Our Heroes party on Sunday, November 10th at the Ye Olde Town Inn located 18 West Busse Avenue in downtown Mount Prospect.

The party is a social gathering, not a fund raiser, free to veterans and their guests. No admission charge, no solicitations, no speeches…just good company, food, music and fun.

Starting at 6 pm, attendees will be treated to a all you can eat pizza buffet, unlimited soft drinks and live entertainment from Brass from the Past.

Online reservation required and veteran can register self and up to 3 guests at UnitedReliefFoundation.org. Veteran guests do not have to be veterans or military members.

Admission, all you can eat pizza buffet, soft drinks and entertainment are free with reservation confirmation. Food menu items and alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

November 10th is the day before Veterans Day and 238th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

Veterans Day (November 11th) is not to be confused with Memorial Day; Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving.

On November 10, 1775, a Corps of Marines was created by a resolution of the Continental Congress.
