Your news Heritage Days Birdhouse Decorating Contest winners
At the Sept. 7-8 Bartlett Heritage Days event, Arts in Bartlett sponsored a “Decorate a Birdhouse” contest. There were 33 entries.
The first-place winners, and honorable mentions in each category, were selected by a team of three judges, all artists: Brittany Pignataro, Lambert Lucietto and Jan Suffren. They did not know who made the houses, since the names and information were at the bottom of the birdhouses.
They selected:
Ÿ Best Themed: First place, Lisa Swan; honorable mention, Amy Arvanitakis, Jenny Vogt and Abby Garn (youth)
Ÿ Bartlett Heritage: First place, Ron Sebastian; honorable mentions, Rita Lopienski
Ÿ Most Creative: First place, Brandi Ramundo; honorable mention, Joe Kudelka, Scott Swan and Ken Witz
The birdhouses will be on kept and displayed at Arts in Bartlett Gallery and Center for the Arts, 118 W. Bartlett Ave. #2, Bartlett, where people can come to view them and place a silent auction bid on Thursdays through Saturdays. The final auction will be in December at the Arts in Bartlett holiday party. All the money made from the birdhouse project will go to the Arts in Bartlett Youth Arts Scholarship and Budding Talent Grant.
