St. Charles

• Karen Leann Wright, 36, of the 17000 block of Route 38, Maple Park, was arrested Sunday and charged with retail theft, according to a police report. Store security at the Meijer store, 855 S. Randall Road, St. Charles, observed Wright attempting to leave the store with six grocery items and one cosmetic item she did not pay for. The total value of the merchandise was about $49.

• Joseph M. Montes, 23, of the 1400 block of Exter Lane, South Elgin, was arrested Sunday and charged with disorderly conduct/public drunkenness, according to a police report. Officers found Montes unconscious on a bench in a parking at the intersection of North Second Street and Cedar Street in St. Charles. Montes was ticketed and transported to Delnor Hospital for treatment.

• Anthony Lawrence Parise, 19, of the 1500 block of Rita Avenue, St. Charles, was arrested July 6 and charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a police report. Officers stopped Parise at 1:54 a.m. on the 2300 block of East Main Street for driving 13 mph faster than the posted limit. Upon questioning of Parise, officers located drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

• Two black trash bags, each containing 75 pounds of empty soda cans, were reported stolen July 3 from the 200 block of West Main Street, St. Charles. The owner, a 43-year-old resident, told police he intended to cash in the cans at a local recycling center. The cans were located behind his business.
