• Alejandro Orea, 23, of the 1400 block of Birch, Hanover Park, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. July 4 at his home and charged with sale of liquor/unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor/permitting a minor to become intoxicated. Arrested and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor: Mira Kim, 19, of the 100 block of Nippert, Streamwood; Sonia Villa, 19, of the 4100 block of State, Phoenix, Ariz; Imran A. Khan, 20, of the 100 block of Wilshire Court; and Patrick D. Guros, 18, of the 1200 block of Oakridge, Streamwood.

• Thomas J. Mahoney, 19, of the 3000 block of Settlers Parkway, Elgin, was arrested around 10:50 a.m. July 4 on the 1000 block of Lake Street and charged with possession of marijuana and resisting a peace officer.

• Juan Gustavo-Pedroza, 25, of the 2200 block of Cedar Ridge, Plainfield, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. July 3 at Bolton and Olde Salem and charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and open alcohol.

• Maria Hernandez, 26, of the 1900 block of Elm Court, Hanover Park, was arrested around 10:30 a.m. July 3 at her home and charged with child endangerment.

• Francisco Salgado, 19, of the 1900 block of Elm, Hanover Park, was arrested 7:55 p.m. June 3 at Church and Lake streets and charged with possession of marijuana and DUI.

• Genaro Cazares-Rodriguez, 21, of the 1300 block of Fremont, Hanover Park, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. July 3 at his home and charged with possession of marijuana and obstructing.

• Shemontiel Nix, 38, of the 7400 block of Cumberland, Hanover Park, was arrested around 4:35 a.m. July 2 at Kingsbury and Oxford and charged with possession of marijuana.

• Alberto Rangel, 21, of the 1900 block of Park, Hanover Park, was arrested around 11 p.m. July 2 at Church and Evergreen and charged with obstructing and possession of marijuana.

• Anne M. Sourile, 40, of the 500 block of Sherwood, Streamwood, was arrested around 9:20 a.m. July 2 at Army Trail and County Farm and charged with possession of marijuana.

• Ashley N. Atalla, 22, of the 5800 block of East Lake Street, Lisle, was arrested around 12:25 p.m. July 1 at 7435 Barrington Road and charged with retail theft.

• Alfred G. Perales, 22, of the 1600 block of Ontarioville, Hanover Park, was arrested around 8:10 p.m. June 30 at his home and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Hector B. Pinedo, 38, of the 2300 block of Good Speed Lane, Schaumburg, was arrested around 3:35 p.m. June 28 at 7435 Barrington Road and charged with retail theft.

• Vandals set off a large firecracker in a drainage culvert, knocking off the top, around 8:40 p.m. July 4 at Northway and Yorkshire.

Hoffman Estates

• Two men beat up and robbed a man around 10:10 p.m. July 2 as he walked on Hill Drive at Higgins Quarters Drive. The robbers hit him on the head. He ran, but they caught up with him, threw him on the ground, hit him several more times on the head, and stole his wallet containing $120 and a necklace off his neck.

• Thieves reached through an open window between 4:20 and 4:25 p.m. July 1 and stole a purse out of a 2005 GMC Yukon in a day care lot, 2320 W. Higgins Road. Value was estimated at $50.

• Thieves stole a boys' blue bicycle between 7 p.m. June 28 and 3:15 p.m. June 29 outside a home on the 600 block of Morton Street. Value was estimated at $73.

• Burglars stole seven pieces of sterling silver jewelry between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. June 29 out of a guest's room at the Hampton Inn, 2825 Greenspoint Parkway. Value was estimated between $750 and $800.

• Thieves stole a boys' silver mountain bike between 4 p.m. June 28 and 2 p.m. June 29 out of a storage room in an apartment building on the 1000 block of Valley Lane. Value was estimated at $100.

• Thieves stole a black backpack between 7 and 8 a.m. June 28 after the owner left it on the sidewalk in an apartment parking lot on the 600 block of Bode Circle. The backpack contained an e-reader, two laptop computers, three cellphones, three medications, and a wallet with several credit/debit cards and ID.

Schaumburg

• Jerry R Trofholz, 74, of the 0-100 block of South Roselle Road, Schaumburg, was arrested around 8:35 p.m. June 21 at his home and charged with battery. Police said witnesses saw him grab one of his waitresses at Easy Street Pub by the arms and push her against a wall during an argument. His court date is Aug. 5.

• Jonathan P. Smith, 25, of the 7600 block of Weymouth Circle, Hanover Park, was arrested around 12:05 a.m. June 23 at Chicago City Limits, 1712 W. Wise Road, and charged with battery. Police reports said he punched a security agent in the face several times and head-butted him. They added that Smith was told several times to leave, but he refused. His court date is Aug. 5.

• Minal J. Patel, 34, of the 6600 block of Scott Lane, Hanover Park, was arrested around 4:55 p.m. June 27 at Lord and Taylor in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she was accused of taking a watch. Her court date is Aug. 7.

• Jose Luis Saldana, 19, of the 500 block of Hill Drive, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 6:55 p.m. June 29 at Sears in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after he was accused of taking a pair of shoes. His court date is July 17.

• John K. Chikko, 20, of the 1600 block of Portsmouth Lane, Schaumburg, was arrested around 9:40 p.m. June 28 at Springinsguth Road and Bates Lane and charged with purchase/possession of liquor by a minor, driving on a suspended/revoked license, and no muffler. His court date is July 17.

• Marixa A. Ford, 18, of the 2100 block of West Smethwick Lane, Hoffman Estates, was arrested around 2:25 p.m. June 25 at Target, 2621 W. Schaumburg Road, and charged with retail theft after she was accused of taking two clothing items. Her court date is July 25.

• Joshua Alvarado, 22, of the 300 block of Fairchild, Bloomingdale, was arrested around 6:40 p.m. June 25 at Macy's in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after he was accused of taking three bottles of cologne. His court date is July 11.

• Showa M. Kafunya, 20, of the 800 block of Regent Drive, DeKalb, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. June 22 at JCPenney in Woodfield Mall and charged with retail theft after she was accused of taking three clothing items. Her court date is Aug. 5.
