New Naperville Farmers Market Opens July 10

St. John’s Episcopal Church, located at 750 Aurora Ave., Naperville, will host a farmers market every Wednesday, beginning July 10 through September 25. The Farmers Market at St. John’s will be open 4-8 pm during July and August and 4-7 pm in September. The market will feature a wide variety of seasonally fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as fresh cut flowers, honey, cheese, breads, pastries, teas, spices, olive oils, gourmet popcorn and other fine food offerings from local vendors.

"We are excited to be able to bring this type of service to the community while also supporting local businesses and our outreach initiatives," says Rev. Verna Fair, pastor of St. John’s Episcopal Church. “The volunteer opportunities at the farmers market also give our parishioners a chance to serve the church and the community at large.”

Vendors pay a rental fee for use of St. John’s parking lot to sell their products directly to the public over the 12-week period. The net proceeds of the vendor fees from the farmers market will help fund St. John’s outreach initiatives. St. John’s outreach includes youth mission trips and support a range of organizations from local to international, such as Loaves and Fishes, Hesed House, Trinity Sandwich Board, Lifespring, Cathedral Shelter of Chicago, Holy Family Ministries and Feed My Starving Children.
