A new Antioch-Lake Villa Area High School District 117 board member is expected to be sworn in during the next board meeting on June 11. Superintendent Jim McKay said board member Kari King Duffy resigned her position on the board in late May due to a personal issue. Because Duffy was a resident of unincorporated Lake County, the new member had to be selected from that region, McKay said. The position was posted and one person from the unincorporated area was interviewed and selected, he said. The term will last until spring 2015.
